No mudflaps and a wider tire sure is going to throw a lot of rocks and mud on the sides of your truck

With the spacers they barely make it past the flares since I didn't go with 285's. That and these aluminum side rails have been catching the rocks & jazz I've been kicking up.
Been watching for that though. So far so good. Definitely a concern to keep in mind with this brand new truck!

Went to the MS River last Friday and took the back roads so I could find some tractor ruts. Seems good so far.

With the level and stock tires the ride difference wasn't noticeable. Even with the spacers on the wheels it was fine. Once I switched to the BFG KO2s I noticed allot more feedback from the road since they are rated E. I have my pressure at 40, may drop it to 33-35 and get them rebalanced. MS roads are so uneven that all the buckels are felt more.
I decided to take the spacers off, but I got mine on Amazon.
We went through the specs and nothing seemed to change from the second to third gen as far as the spacers were concerned.
I will say that with the spacers and the level it felt a bit rougher. Again, it may just be the tires. Took off the spacers and it seemed to help.

IMG_3484.jpg Just got another rough draft for a front end wrap. It's a vinyl wrap they put a 3m clear wrap over. Similar to a clear bra, but with graphics underneath. I've gotten three rock dunks already so I wanted to see the $$$ difference. Turns out the local custom shop can do a graphic for about 250 less than the official. 3m bra.
May minimize it a good bit, mostly hood and around the lights/ wheel flares, since I found someone locally that does bumpers for very reasonable prices.

Scratched the hood wrap when I found this awesome hood protector. Already got two dinks from crappy ms roads. But it looks like the one I had on my jeep, and it helped allot.

No worries about messing with the bumper now.

So I bought a lift today. Wasn't planning on it but Fat Bobs was having a 7% off sale and I saved about 50 and change.

Front bilstien 3" coilovers preasembled w/diff drop & swaybar relocate bracket.

Rear I went with fox 2.0, toytec long AAL, and OME bearing drop.

Shipped its was less than 1k so I'm pumped!!

If anyone could direct me to the best threads on the 255/85/16 size tires and their performance I would greatly appreciate it.

Seems to be LOADS of talk about the advantages vs a wider tire. And the cost is vet attractive as well. 33.3 for the KM2 seems perfect for the lift I just got. Some have even said gas mileage was BETTER than what they got with 265/75/16s.:confused::eek:

    Thanks in advance!

    Got me some 285's!!
Zero rub so far. Changing out my lift still, but I could easily get away with just my 2 inch level IMG_3848.jpgIMG_3846.jpg

Update: New lift has settled in, and i'm happy with the ride. After fellow members told be to run 30 F and 28 R I have had a much smoother ride. Unfortunately my wheels vibrate and act unbalanced, so Level 8 MK6's will be hopefully installed this weekend.
Didn't feel like messing with hub rings maybe fixing the problem, so went with ones that had 106.1 and got the ET lugs.

    Tentative list for next mods:
1.) Recovery gear/ on board air
    2.) CMC
    3.) Skids
    4.) Sliders
    5.) Rear bumper
