I have a '97 Toyota Tacoma with a stuck fuel door lock. I have tried silicone lube spray and liquid Graphite. I've jiggled it around quite a bit and gave the different lubes time to set in but still no luck, the lock still won't turn. Would it be worth trying WD40? And if not, how difficult would it be to pull the lock and replace it?

The best penetrating oil you can get your hands on.

You are using the correct key ??

No little burrs or nicks on the key ?? Some times a little burr will keep the cylinder from turning

Did you make some one mad that you might have received the super glue prank if the key goes in not likely though

How long since it was opened last ??

Easy to remove the lock once the door is is open just pop the clip off

I couldn't get the fuel door open to save my life when I was in Ely, Nevada with an empty tank. After fretting about it for a few minutes, I tried it again and the door opened.

For some reason I was turning the key CW instead of CCW. Go figger... o_O
