Just this week I've noticed a sluggish start to my truck. I have just over 72000 miles on it and have done regular oil changes, filter changes and such. Now it has started getting a little cold in the mornings, but only around the freezing mark and haven't had issues in past winter months when it gets much colder (like in the teens). I was thinking it needed an antifreeze/coolant flush and replace perhaps? maybe spark plugs replaced? battery replaced? Any thoughts on best place to start would be appreciated.

Get the battery tested, chances are it's going bad. Sluggish cold starts are a sign of a weak battery, especially when it's happening at fairly warm temperatures like that.

That was my first thought, but haven't had any issues before so wasn't sure if it may be something else.

Same for my wife's 2013 Impreza. The temperature has been staying at or below 0°F for the last month and it's been getting slower and slower to start. Bought a new battery last night that will get put in today after she gets home from work and the car warms up in the garage for a bit.

Thanks to all. It was the battery. Fully charged was only at 13 volts. Replaced and all is back to normal.

sometimes it can have a good charge and when you put an amp draw on it the battery cant handle it. Typically its the battery, but if it continues to drain your battery I'd suspect the alternator.
