    Thanks for all the help guys! Specifically the topic for my essay is how a specific discourse community defines technology. So the technology we use to communicate can be part of the essay, but the whole essay can't be on that. Also, I like the idea about differences between 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations.

    also...to add...maybe throw in something about how the use of technology has allowed Tacoma owners to come together in one place and we are able to diagnose, and walk someone thru...a truck issue

    therefore saving money for everyone!

    it also brings together owners who all may have an issue which makes it easier to bring said issues to Toyota that result in TSBs and recalls

    The ONLY TW topic you could write about that makes sense re: technology is the social networking angle that brings people of like minds/interests together...

    Look at the ranges of ages, religions, backgrounds (check out the thread on what people do for a living) that TW brings together.
