    So, my tailgate handle is broken. Used 550 cord (nylon parachute cord with 550 lb tensile strength). Works for me. Second pic is my custom made rear sliding window theft deterrent...dowel rods cut to prevent opening more than 2 inches. 3rd and 4th pic just show the paint situation. Looking at doing an OD green plasti-dip on the whole truck eventually.
