So I am moving from Texas to Eagle, CO next month and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for good trails in the surrounding national forests. To the south of me will be White River National Forest and Grand Mesa National Forest, and to the north of me will be Arapaho National Forest, and Routt National Forest. I'll be willing to make day trips and overnight trips as well, so anything a little further out is cool too.

Secondly, being that I am from Texas, I'm not real familiar driving in snow/ice. I have driven in snow a few times, but not enough to call myself experienced. I have a 2013 TRD OR with BFG AT tires. Can anyone give me some quick pointers that might help me out?

    Thanks guys.
