Too much oil?

    Nah it happens and ppl immediately ask where this happend so they can avoid problems. I dont think ive ever seen a moderator or Bob get upset about posting the place things like this happen at.

    Maybe they were going by 5th gen 4Runner 4.0 specs which takes 6.6 qts. Always give a quick check before you leave the service dept. Make sure no dings or dents, quick oil level/filter check and check to see if all lugs are there and wheels don't wobble if you're gonna use dealer service.

    Looked for dings and dents, even checked that that they put the drain plug back on. Didnt think I'd have to check for a 30% overfill

    Must have missed that on the first read through. Oops sorry.
    * IMHO- I'd just drain it out using a clear container and if you miss your mark and take out too much top her off. (This happened to my GF's car when she took it to a Quick lube drive-thru.)

    It would be more of a concern if there was no oil so always a good idea to check. No oil in this forum has happened before.
