I'm trimming my front wheel well to rid myself of rubbing. It's mostly rubbing on the back of the wheel well, but I noticed that when I removed fender lining there is metal underneath that is just as much in the way.

What are folks doing about this metal bit which looks to be part of the body? Does anyone have good pictures of their trimmed wheel well?
