Hey guys, I'm sure someone's already posted about this but I thought I'd just see what people have to say. I am looking to make my 2nd Gen. 4.0 v6 more throaty, I do not want it to be obnoxious or sound like a lawn mower lol

Theres no "better sounding exhaust." Its all preference. Best thing to do is talk to others with tacos and hear the exhaust in person and decide which one you like best. I have the Flowmaster delta 40 and sounds great. I've had the super 40 (too raspy) and two magna flows (kinda loud with a lot of drone) and would say the delta 40 is the best for me. Great sound, deep and just loud enough to hear that 4.0 but turn on some tunes and theres little noise and no drone. I paid about $180 installed for the flow master and the magnaflow cat back was $550! and that was 6 years ago.

Well I hope it doesn't end up sounding like the renters next door. He lets that thing warm up for 10min every morning and that low drone noise vibrates my coffee cup. It he keeps it up I'm going to jam a potato in his exhaust.

Go to muffler shop, tell them what u are looking for and ask them to select 3 mufflers that may fit the bill.

Ask to have each 1 clamped to your stock piping, and allow u to start the truck and manipulate the rpm some. ask them to NOT tell u what muffler is going to be clamped on each time...

After u hear all 3, choose the 1 u liked the sound of and stick with it, have it welded in. dont buy with your eyes, dont rely on a brand, use your ears.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Only valid advice. No video does exhaust sound properly. Period. Go to a truck meet, hear other 4L 6cyl WHILE DRIVING (not revving in neutral) and decide what you like.

I really like my TRD cat back. Not to loud, has a nice deep tone.
