Its hard to want to put anything but oem in it especially when getting 200k out of those and i would definetly go oem if you dont plan on a s/c. When i get my six speed, ill most likely be going urd because i plan on supercharging it so itll be interesting to see how long itll last

2nd Gen for sure. I dont like the grilles on the 3rd gens although i love the inferno orange. Seems nearly impossible to find a 6spd trd pro '15 so i think im gonna settle for the barcelona red and just get an OR

I wonder if Toyota will wait another 10 years for the 4th generation Tacoma 2026 and I wonder what improvements will be made over the 3rd generation?

I was wondering if they are gonna release the 6th gen 4runners a couple years before the 4th gen tacos like they did last time around.. should be interesting to see if they keep the tacos the same in coming years. Personally, i hope they change them back to something more similar to the 2nd styling so i can order one new from the factory that i actually like:thumbsup:

It's funny, I was looking through my father's 1959 Popular Mechanics and it just happened to be the auto issue. I just loved the character cars back then had with style, individuality, and unaerodynamic (if that's a word) design.

Yeah if I am in front or second I do it but not if I am in a long line. Also I do half highway, half city so maybe all city it could be bad. I don't know but getting over 200k on the clutch, it can't be that bad.

I know one thing I don't like about the manual in the Tacoma, is the reverse gearing being so high. Backing up to dump a bed filled with manure and I was smoking my clutch to back up a few feet on level ground. Doing something like this often would adversely affect the clutch, more than letting off the clutch at a light.

I see Toy has yet another revise T/O bearing for the Taco and FJ Cruiser. The newer one ends with the number 41

Perhaps this will help. Think about what is happening when you press on the clutch. The resulting force is ultimately trying to push the crankshaft out through the front of the engine and side load the thrust bearings on the crankshaft.

    Little bit of stuff.
Same here man, I'm at 246k and I'm slowly feeling signs that I'll need a clutch around 250k-260k. I've got the parts sitting under my desk at work since June. Caught a deal for the Exedy OEM replacement kit, and employee discount on the OE flywheel from my buddies at Toyota. My only indecision is what fluid to use, as my 3rd gear synchro is starting to go.

Well looks like I need to rest easy at 133k unless something weird happens. Good to know these clutches last 200k+ (no S/C)

It is the urd kit. PDM is the one who manufactures it.
