automatic shifter

hey guys does anyone know who to replace the shifter in a 2003 tacoma 4x4. im wanting to swap mine to a black colored one or something different all together. is it possible to do with the button on the side of the shifter? does tacoma even make a black shifter handle?

I think the 4 runners had black ones, but I'm not sure though if the consoles would be the same or not.

 

Do they have the square button on the right hand side?

 

I would guess so, they used the same engine and trans. I would think the OD switch would be there but I don't own one. I believe it is the 3rd gen 4 runner you can research, think mid 90s to 2002ish?

 

Could get the plastic spray paint and just paint it if you can't find what you are looking for

 

The 96-02 4runners use the same shifter as the 95-04 Tacoma. I swapped in a black one in my Tacoma.

You can swap just the black shift handle, but it would be easier to just get the whole shift plate.
