    What did you do with your spare? My 285 is already a pain in the ass (I moved it from under the truck). When I go on trips I'm usually low on space already. And I can't sit the 35 up straight because my bed racknis too low.

    I have some ideas to improve my current head storage. Then I can just lay the tire flat in the bed.

    I dropped my spare and gave it to @Wheelspinner. Bought a full size matching spare. Then mounted it upright in the bed. I'm saving for a high clearance rear bumper with swingout. So here it is till then.

    Ha! That's exactly how mine is currently mounted. Except a black ratchet strap.

    The 35 will be too tall for my rtt to fit. So I'm thinking I'll just lay it down and then build a gear rack like all pro sells for the gear I'd normally put there.

    I had it laying down for the longest time but when I went camping I stood it up so I had room to sleep in the bed with my dog. It's been up since. I like it like that and doesn't seem like the entire bed is being used.

    Looked like you were going to mount a light on it. Hell of a lot cheaper than $40 from C4 fab.

    Yeah true. $40 isn't a big deal but definitely fun to get some practice with my welder. Spent I think $10 on the sheet and also used that to do my CMC so it's getting its use.

    I got on the wait list for 16x8 dark bronzes and figure I'll do the same as you with my spare for when I do the HC bumper/exhaust. I'm trying to be all 'one thing at a time' and all I see are wheels/lift+lighting/bumpers at the same time :rolleyes:
