Its another forum with a mixed crowd of vehicles. Sign up - read the rules - make an intro and sign up I guess? @ecgreen can chime in more.

 

Its an off-road forum focused on exploring the legal class 6 roads found in NH, no mudding. Anyone can join and participate in a run. The forum mostly consist of Jeep guys, but the Tacoma community is slowly growing.

 

They are a fun group to wheel with. And the terrain in NH is awesome.

 

Wicked cool guys - they plan everything out and cover all the bases. I went out with them once and had a blast.

Also there's a guy there named Tundra - he doesn't own a Tundra nor has he ever. I just couldn't wrap my brain around the concept...

 

Was he born in Northern Canada?

 

The group Rob, and I were in, at the Fall Crawl, had more yotas than jeeps. The Jeep guys said it never happens up there.

 

Yeah, usually I am staring at a Jeep rear end on a run...lol That's why I started the Yota run, so we could get some more Tacos in the mix.

I would advise anyone to sign up for a run - especially if you are new to the sport. Like Bruce said, all the bases are covered. If your new and go on a newbie run you will learn a ton! Also, keep in mind that stock runs are actually quite challenging usually. The terrain up here is very rocky, so even easy runs are interesting.

Know in advance that the ENH crew as all about tread lightly, almost to a fault. You need to understand that these are all legal public roads and we don't want them shut down, so that is why there is so much emphasis about behaving on the trails. So, if one of the old timers gets cranky about people talking about muddin', cut him some slack, he has probably seen dozens of roads closed in his lifetime due to bad behavior.

Ya, it was nice to see more yotas at fall crawl. The past couple years I think it has been myself and maybe one other person. We got to start showing those Jeep guys how it's done.

 

Until they go over a ledge easily as we drag our bumpers....lol Can't beat a Jeep departure angle

 

And their articulation even stock is enviable

 

Well. IDK about that. Billy @BostonBilly couldn't make it up this stump. He was blaming his highway tires. Lol

Plenty of guys drive up from CT. It really is worth the trip. A lot of CT guys stay in Concord/Manchester/etc over night.

 

Was lurking and saw you guys talking about ExploringNH.com. I have done many trips with them, I a contributing member of the forum. I usually dont post much. Good bunch of people. Pretty well organized, family friendly, and do trails from stock to somewhat hardcore. Its been about a year since I did a run with them. Last run was an Overland style trip to Mt Washington with off road trails in the mix, and remote camping- great trip. Did that with my old 2nd gen. Getting my 3rd gen ready for spring trips. Again really good group. More Toyotas are in the mix now which is cool.

Anyone planning a western mass run anytime soon? Probably tough to get everyone together this month with the holidays coming up, but January sounds promising. I hit Beartown SF and October Mountain SF with @yazmatic over the summer and that was a great day. And its probably even more awesome with some light snow.
