Some of you know I am an engineer and inventor with a few patents. I'm always coming up with new ideas.

I don't know about anyone else, but the lack of real feet and adjust ability on my Tepui RTT ladder is a pain sometimes. I use firewood in the sand, build up rocks in uneven areas, anything to make it more stable.

Adjustable feet with different styles for different conditions seems to be the answer.

    My current feet, lol

This is the traditional ladder style swivel foot attached to my Tepui. Parts were 3D printed but actual parts will be machined aluminum.

    IMG_1647.jpg

They are adjustable in 3/4" increments.

For sand, mud, grass, etc I thought flanges that you can attach boards, plywood, etc. to would be very useful

After looking at it, it was suggested that they might be a bit beefier, so I did that but am not printing prototypes again.

The red piece in the pictures attaches inside of a 2 1/4" inside diameter ladder tube. Holes get drilled in the side and a bolt screws in holding it in place.

Its been mentioned a couple times, but I should have said the bolts are just what I had on hand. Some sort of pin will be the way to go.

I am going to get the parts quoted at a couple machine shops. Ramon is on board to help with the group buy if there is enough interest.

What about using wire lock pins instead of screws for the adjustable part? Makes it easier than unscrewing a nut/bolt every time and you don't run the risk of losing the nut. Say something like this?

    https://www.lowes.com/pd/The-Hillman-Group-2-75-in-Square-Wire-Lock-Pin/3024939

I like the idea...I just need a RTT. Another thing that would be cool is to add a board made of plastic kind of like the Hi-Lift base that is offered. Have the feet already mounted so you just remove the feet you have and then slide the plastic base up in the ladder and attached it with the nuts or lock pins. Kind of a second option.

Haven't gotten my tent yet, but awesome idea and makes complete sense. Would be interested depending on my ladder and price.

Interested. I also like the idea of locking pins instead of nuts and bolts on the adjustable part. Not knocking your design op. Just seems like it would ease set up a bit more.

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
Subbed. Might be interested for the CVT ladder.

Wonder if the feet couldn't be the same design across all brands and then people order the ladder mount piece specific to their brand.

I vouch for @nat on this.

I have been helping him via PMs on this idea and he's been working hard.

If this works out, we will be doing a special introductory GB or sale
