Hello. I recently fell in love with the look of the SR Appearance package on the gray Tacoma Prerunner (either 2014-2015) that offers factory black wheels, color matched bumpers, dark door handles, grill, and dark tint trimmed headlights. They are hard to find here in So. California—I have only found one 2014 and one 2015 for sale. The salesman at the Toyota dealer that I visited last night had not even heard of the SR Appearance package. I also looked at a gray 2015 TRD that has most of the same dark treatments—bumpers and grill. I could change the headlights and wheels later. I have not owned either model and wonder if anyone out there has an opinion either way. The TRD will cost more. One could argue that be best to buy the Prerunner with the SR Appearance package which offers the complete look that I want, and be done with it. Yet, the TRD has some nice features, too, and could be changed to the "dark look" over time. Whichever way I go, I will be buying a 2WD model for highway use only. Thank you in advance for any input.
