I'd rather not think of all the $ spent :(
AK Ammo here in Fairbanks has deals from time to time on cases. I think they have a location in ANC too. I just got 7.62 case for $285. I just built another AR so if you see a good deal down there please let me know!

That might be the best deal around. I'll go look at AK Ammo sometime this week and let you know what it is here.

I replaced my map and some light with an led light kit from Amazon, a lot brighter now! Also got some blue LED lights and put them down under the dash to shine on the floor lol. Didn't turn out too bad!

Autozone also carries LED bulbs that work if people want to avoid the wait of Amazon. The map lights are nice and bright but the dome light is a bit dim and seems to take a little longer to warm up to full brightness.

Which kit did you purchase? I saw a couple for only like $20. Thanks in advance

Agreed about the dome light, they could've made it a bit brighter.

Here is a picture of what kit I got. It's pretty worth it for the price. The dome light isn't that bright at first, but seems like it gets brighter as it warms up. The map lights are very bright though

I get mine at Cabela's, just got a lot of 5.56 for 6.74 per box of 20. Best deal I've seen lately.

You can find it online for a pretty good price. Check gunbroker.com. You should be able to find a bunch there and possibly someone on your state as well. Sportsmansguide.com is also a great place. Not sure how much shipping to you would be. Hope this helps

Generally speaking here--no one ships ammo up from the "lower 48" up here.

Howdy all! Been up here a few months now, and would love to meet up and hit some trails next spring! Was here back in '05 and spent way too much time at Jim Creek lol...

So...if, IF, you've considered getting Clear Bra in Anchorage, I'd recommend against Safe and Sound on Old Seward. I know, I know...it's a truck. Wanted the clear bra since I commute from the valley daily...that darn Glenn! Anyway, I was able to find a beater with a heater and all-but-delete the Clear Bra. My experience (Yelp review) is attached.

    Love. The. Quicksand.

Wow. I know the owner of safe and sound. Very nice guy. I haven't heard of them doing anything like that before. Only heard good things. They installed my remote starter and did a great job. Next time I see him I'll bring it up. Not that it'll make it any better on your end, but I figure he should know that went down so it doesn't happen again.

And by the way, CCA is the best place in town for clear bra and tint. Guys did an amazing job on my friends Subaru. That's where I'm going for my tint.

Yeah, they do some excellent work, especially with remote start installations...I know a handful of folks who've bought from them. A gentleman at Toyota recommended the place for clear bra...I jumped on it because it was conveniently located right down the road from the dealership. It almost seemed as if the clear bra installer was using their space to do his work (clear bra). Lesson learned: you get what you pay for. If one shop charges nearly double for what seems to be the same thing...there's likely a good reason behind it. You can probably expect a boost in service or product quality. I've already called CCA and have an appointment next week!

x2 on CCA Motorsport, they've done the tint on my Tacoma, clear bra on my moms 4Runner and Tint on it along with vinyl wrap. Can't go wrong with them. And wow do the guys at safe and sound seem like assholes, not that ive ever considered going anywhere else but I sure as hell wont be going there.

    That's a bad ass 'Runner.

Just to be clear, the electronic installation folks at S&S are great...it's the standalone dude who's the only guy between there and the Wasilla branch who does clear bra installs. Hell, I'm even MORE excited to get over to CCA now lol...

Thanks! And good to know. Sounds like people should just steer away from any clear bra installation there lol post a pic up of your taco! My dad's got his tundra over there at CCA right now getting detailed, they do incredible work!
