Severe Weather thread.

This nice thing about earthquakes is there's no forecast leading to days of panic and drama before hand.

 

No excitement in Florida or do you guys not have network access anymore?

 

Pretty hard to give a fuck when the power is out, and so is the Internet!
Sitting here in the dark, waiting for the hurricane to hit, need to save my phone battery in case I need it!

At least 3 days of rain and I failed to install the gutters I said I was going to on my vacation.

 

they're still cleaning up over here from the last big wind storm, I'm not looking forward to this

Its windy as hell here and its been pouring rain for a couple days , I'm shocked I still have power

 

I have some sort of vacuum effect going on in my attic (guessing the winds through the eaves). keeps sucking my garage attic access up inside it (had to go digging through insulation yesterday to find it lol). winds are freaking crazy down here too.

 

The epic storm here was an epic disappointment here, some wind, rain and little waves.

Update the morning after: the storm didn't live up to the pre-storm drama. My brother works for an insurance company so his bonus won't be impacted (they split up the money left over if people don't make claims that year).

 

My relatives in Woodinville don't, or at least as of yesterday afternoon they didn't. Had a tree come down across the road and onto the lines at the entrance to their subdivision.

We had snow a couple weeks ago. A nice coating at least .

It probably won't even accumulate. High of 37F expected and the ground isn't frozen yet

We got snow yesterday and last night , now we have freezing fog

 

we got that the other day, its a major PITA when you have airplanes in the mix. regular snow is much easier to deal with
