Do a little research - the volumetric intake requirements of you engine are fully satisfied by the stock intake system -

I bought a TRD intake.... wasn't impressed. Unnecessary, underhood bling. Annoying sound.

Will try to use it with a Snorkel (because I can)...

    But not impressed.

These engines are pretty much topped out unless you do some major surgery, pistons, crank, heads, camshafts. It's certainly up to you but I wouldn't waste the money.

I would suggest just getting an aFe pro dry filter. Personally I don't like the idea of an oiled filter. But if you wanted to do a cool upgrade, you could implement the FJ's cyclone air pre-filter. It basically collects dust that could clog up your filter. Just sayin'

The only you can get more air is forced induction then you have to back it up with more fuel. The stock system will flow far more air than the engine can use.

Yup don't waste your money! It will become a "hot air intake" with a suction sound. My airaid intake was. And now it's for sale.
