I had heard Flagpole was a fun one. I have a friend with a gen 1 Taco that would probably wet himself a little if he saw how far I've actually pushed some of my previous stuff on some trails. I don't really feel the desire to bounce this one off trees and such though. Maybe I still feel bad for what I did to my poor Cherokee. Lol.

I'm going to talk to my friends and see if I can get at least one more truck. If so, I'll probably make a run. I never like to wheel alone. I also might have to get directions from someone to the trailhead.

I'll bet it would be fairly easy to find some volunteers...

Lessee, here are the current excuses for me not going:
This weekend, Christmas party and already have plans for another kayak float
Next weekend, Out of town visiting family
Weekend after that, catching up on crap I won't get to do while I was/am/will be in Indiana.
    Weekend after after that, Christmas.....
Even with all that I still can't wait to go!

If it's where I think, its down near Crabtree Falls in Jefferson National Forest

Ha! we (wife and I ) almost always go out alone. it's much more rare for us to have another vehicle along than not. Go prepared if you go it alone. winch (or comealong) shovel, axe (chainsaw), toolkit, extra gas, etc.

As a side note, we got out kayaking Sunday and found several shark tooth fossils, a whale vertebra and a skute from a croc ( or maybe a turtle ). these would be Paleocene era from about 60 million years ago

I don't even have a wife, or girlfriend for that matter, to take along. It would be me and the dog, and unfortunately, she can't call for help if something happened to me. I actually just ordered myself a Christmas present today (pictures when it arrives) that will make me feel a LOT better if I end up off road alone. And I have an "emergency tote" that I keep in the truck if I end up going out even with a group. I've grown up in the woods, so it's not a thing where I'm uncomfortable doing it all by myself, I guess I just grew up and started thinking more about consequences the older I got. Being an adult sucks sometimes. Lol.
