    shocks really do not care what they are on as long as the load is similar but with as cheap as a run of the mill shock is why go with used?

    I can only assume this is because a friend of yours with an s10 wants to give you some free shocks?? If theyre free, try them. If theyre not free, ask to verify they fit first.

    But there really is NO reason to look for new s10 shocks for your taco. Just buy the taco shocks, if youre going custom, then just worry about the length, get bilstiens, they come in every length imaginable

    If you're willing to take your buddy's S10 shocks, then you're obviously not looking for some fancy shocks. Go to autozone and get some replacement shocks for your Tacoma. 50 bucks tops out the door.
