A few minor updates on my tacoma. Today's project before the storm: install Thule crossbars and ski rack.
Thule 60" Aeroblade crossbars. Called for 53" but went longer and doesn't stick far out at all!
Mounted with Thule Rapid Traverse foot pack and Tacoma specific clips.
Ski rack is Yakima 4 snowboard 6 ski. Took me about 2 hours total for both by my self. Can't wait to get some use this week! IMG_7334.jpg IMG_7335.jpg

Yes, the Thule clips attach to the door frame. No drilling required, no need to get into the rudder strips on the roof.

Nice. I like your rack. I have a rack on my shell. I Would like to do something like you on the cab. I'm thinking a think type of low pro gear basket with some hid lights mounted on the front.

I really like this rack setup. How much and where you get it? I need to put one on my truck but I do not want to drill. Thanks

Thule fit on their website will give you the items.

I just looked up yours... 2016 Access Cab ...
Call customer support and ask for a supervisor.

    I bought mine at REI.

I got bad info by calls and emails even though I knew they would fit. I had to send photos and speak to a supervisor. He got back to me the next day after discussing the Tacoma Access cab fittings with the fit engineers. So, the customer support people did not know any better.

But, I don't know the fit on the 3rd Gen Tacoma.

Hmmmm, interesting. Sounds like it's going to be a pain, but I'm patient. I'll just do research until it comes out. I think the cab should be the same size as the 2nd gen, but I could be wrong. I'm going to do some digging on that too. I know prinsu has one for the access cab, but yikes, I'm NOT drilling my roof, plus I have airbags in there somewhere. I really like the Thule, so I'm gonna start bugging them until they come out with one that does fit for sure.

I realize this is old. Did anybody find out if a 3rd Gen and 2nd Gen Thule racks like these are cross compatible?
