    made this piece of pvc tubing to guide that rod for lowering the spare tire a nightmare with out it

    This that and the other thing.
    just got my truck this past summer, its an 09 and I doubt the spare has ever been lowered, I'm going to take it on next summer, so we will see how it goes

    you may only need to do it once but it will be at night and raining trust me i would not have done this had i not had to fight with this before take care

    thanks this post just reminded me i want to see if there is a video on how to get the tire down
    ment to look at my 2nd gen when i was at my parents place last weekend

    and my 1st gen the tire is gone and the brackets that hold the tire are all rotted out
    i was thinking if the previous owner was driving down the road one day and the tire just dropped out
