I'll start this off by saying, obviously, I'm going. Who else plans on going out?

Feel free to ask questions if you have them, this will be my 4th year going.

Also post pictures if you have them of past years you've gone!

Should we meet up? or just wave at each other awkwardly?

Event details here King of the Hammers 2017

I'm planning on being out there the entire week if work permits.

I wish I could explain just how much fun it is to be out there, and how I advice anyone who likes any kind of motorsport to check it out.

I vote awkward wave. It's the most fun race you'll ever go to, hands down. And I go to tons of off road races.

I'll be there either way in Scarlett.

Take it away, homie, Jimmy! All I was gonna do was orchestrate a TW village to camp and party at late at night. Not feeling sleeping near Hammertown. The true KOH race is Friday. I plan on being there Thurs-sat. One thing for sure is I won't be leading any orchestrated runs. Just gonna putt around the whole area and hopefully come back to a tw camp. Cheers.

I will be there probably for both weekends helping out in the pits. I have friends that are racing and I will be helping them out.

Would be sweet to still meet up and watch one of the tech sections(jackhammer, sledgehammer, chocolate thunder, backdoor, etc).

That sounds awesome, always wanted to help in the pits or volunteer.

Backdoor used to be a good spot to watch, but the last two years I've gone there I leave because everyone just winches up now. I really wanna check out jack or sledge

Jackhammer is a fun one to watch. It's just kind of a bitch to get up there because it's on a sand hill pretty much. But the rocks up there make almost a natural amphitheater to watch them race up the face of the falls.

It looks like I'll be heading out there hopefully in the early afternoon on Thursday the 9th.

I started getting the logistics set up with my group and I should be taking the toy hauler for all of us to stay in (40') and a buddy will be towing out the 5th wheel flatbed with up to 3 of our rigs. And the rest will caravan.

If anybody comes from far or is going for the last days also, it makes things safer for you and your belongings from potential thieves to stay in a group with a toy hauler. I'm no stranger to having a large camp circle.
