So yesterday I was working on upgrading my system and when I tried to get back into the rear passenger door it would not open. After having 3 people look at it I believe it might be the lock actuator but not really for sure. At first I thought it was one of the cables that came undone but it wont open from inside or out. We even had the window down looking at everything and trying to figure it out but no luck. Ive searched for the problem and seems like most people get lucky when it goes bad that it wont lock. Mine is stuck in the lock position so I cant remove the door panel. I plan on calling Toyota tomorrow but thought they might try to tell me its my fault since I was messing with the door. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!

Hey Deeds, did you find a solution for this? I managed to do a similar thing and am trying to fix the problem.

Umm well after paying with this sliver thing we assumed was the latch for 3 hours I gave up but my brother and dad kept playing with it and go figure we were messing with the right piece but we were doing everything but the right thing to it...the latch wasn't/didn't comeven up all the..we ended up having a piece of aluminum that we bent and just needed to pull up on the silver thing that gets pushed down when you pull the handle. if you take out the two screws on the door panel you can wedge a small light in the channel and see it and just had to pull up on it to get it back in the place it needed to be.
