Sounds like you bought from a dealer that believes in providing good service, and attempts to retain their customers. They didn't have to do it. It wasn't some B.S. come-on deal that evaporates when you show up at the dealership to buy your new truck, like so many dealerships do. If they take care of the little things, they will probably take care of the big things. Reward the good dealers with your business, and walk out of the showrooms of the bad dealers. Congrats.

 

This. I didn't get extra schwag when I bought the truck, but I get coupons for them for bringing in the truck for maintenance. Over the years I've gotten Toyota-branded snowbrush, blanket, flashlight, microfiber brush, glass-breaker, lunch bag (that looks like a man-purse), water bottle... all included "free" with their overpriced oil changes.

 

I didn't get anything when I bought the truck, but my wife's van came with a 'care' set - cool carry case with car wash soap, polish, leather cleaner, dash cleaner, tire shine, microfiber cloths and applicator, sheeps wool buffer. Every time I take it in for oil change I can take the kit and they will fill it up for free - lifetime supply. (I know, it's just a way to get me to come back for oil changes and service, but it still cool)

Yes, the refills are nice. I have 4 vehicles so I go through some of the items such as the soap and tire shine quickly. The inside stuff lasts a long time, but I have not bought soap or tire shine in many years. On the third minivan now, but keep getting refills from the first van's kit.

 

That grill set is a cool gift. My dealer tinted my windows.
