    Hey everyone,

Looking for a roof rack. Anyone know of good quality racks? Looking to buy a RTT and need a good one. Please share. I have done some research but I trust your word and experience over the websites ratings. Thanks

Mine didn't come with any. The hard question that I'm having a hard time getting answered is from the manufacturers is, will it direct fit my 2017. No one can give me a yes or a no.

Asking which manufacturer Toyota or Prinsu?

There isn't a roof difference on 16 vs 17. I am taking my 16 Prinsu and installing it on my 17 Pro next month

OEM rack is great, inexpensive, quiet, easy to install and looks good.

Thank you for this. I like the way this looks too. I have contacted a local Fab shop in Raleigh,NC to see if he can Fab a Bed rack with having my rugged hard top tri-fold tonneau cover. More storage the better? :benchpress:

Here's mine. Just installed it a couple days ago. It's a Prinsu Design...

Consult your owners manual, I believe it will tell you 100lbs max for Oem racks. Which is up from the 2015s.
RTT plus you and some one else probably isn't going to end well.

Secondly a RTT above the cab is hella high up there, especially when your drunk. But in all seriousness when you're loading and unloading it off your truck it's a pain in the ass.

Looks good man! Hows the noise? Can you take a side profile pic of the shell one with the cab one slightly showing? Curious how much smaller the shell one will be compared to my OEM cab one. Think it might look funny.

I went with the UTility flat rack from Baja Rack. I like that is sits as low as possible to the roofline and has the built in wind deflector.
I also went with the matching rear camper shell rack. The reason I went with this setup was to be as flexibile as possible, whether I was going to mount equipment such as shovel/jack/traction devices for off-road trips, or to potentially mount a RTT and awning for camping trips, or just strap a mattress on top if I was moving some furniture, etc. The rack easily mounts to the factory holes in the roof on all models regardless of whether or not you have the OEM roof rack. So far I'm extremely happy with this choice, more updates to come.

Yeah, factory rack doesn't hold a ton, but honestly I'm not sure how much weight I would want up that high above the trucks center of gravity... plus, for me, it's mostly for looks. I have a basket to mount to it for long trips with lots of luggage or camping etc... but most of the time it will be stowed. Plus it's silent!

I actually bought mine at the dealership because they price matched Amazon. Search Amazon for PT278-3514.

    Mostly stuff I built.
Go with the Prinsu if you actually plan on using the rack. Zach is a jam up guy to deal with and makes a great product. I am pretty sure his racks will out last the truck.

I had the OEM rack and that thing is flimsy. My 45# kayak made it flex just setting on it.

The front runner is nice but there is nothing streamlined about it local guy has one and says the wind noise off of it is horrendous.IMG_2803.jpg
