Yep, most of my trail stripes got removed when I did a detail of the truck and when I put on the new bumper. I need to get a good buffer and do a better detail soon though.

It got to his shop on Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving and he delivered it to my house the following Wednesday.

Yea, I was not a bad price and he will do cash discounts. So I plan on using him for the rear bumper if I ever do that. I would like to take off the Sliders and have them stripped and done the same, but the amount of abuse they get, almost no point.

That's something I need to add to my Christmas wish list for sure. Can't say :itllbuffout: if I don't have a buffer, now can I?

That is why I painted my sliders, which reminds me I need to repaint a couple sections of it to cover up the scratches I got on them in Tennessee.

I just liked that he didn't care if I shipped it directly to him and everything, plus he delivered the bumper to my house. Could not beat that.

Why do you wish you had it coated? I'm still debating on which route to take with my bumpers.

Probably because powdercoating it would last a lot longer, not be a pain in the but to do, and looks very nice!

When I ordered my sliders I had them powder coated from the vendor since the add on cost was 40 bucks. Shouldn't have done that, but at least it was cheap.

That's cool that the local coating shop delivered to your house! When I ordered my bumpers I asked if I could ship directly to a coating shop and got shot down on that since the bumper vendor only uses fastenal, and fastenal only ships to their hubs. I'll have to pick them up and take them to get coated if I go that route, but it sounds like that's what I should do instead of paint them myself.

Like @ETXTacoma said easier to touch up and less hasstle. Also I used some kind of automotive primer and not the self etching on it. I backed up into something not too long ago and a scab of paint just came off. Looks like I overcoated it with the primer. But on my sliders it came out good since I used the right paint.

Yea, I would really suggest you get the bumpers coated instead of doing them yourself. Which bumpers did you get?

Also, where are you located exactly?

Yea, sliders are great for just doing yourself, but since I hopefully won't jack up my bumper anytime soon, I can also get some touchup paint that is color matched to the coating and touch up if needed.

SOS Offroad Concepts. Got in on the group buy back in September. Sounds like I'll need to pony up the extra coin and do them right at the powder coat shop.

I'm in Smith County between Lindale and Van a few miles from the intersection of FM 16 and FM 1253 in Garden Valley.

Damn man, I am in Tyler, Garden Valley is like a 20 minute drive.

The Fastenal in Tyler is like a 2 minute drive from Tyler Coatings. They are in the business area behind Mercados and everything off the Loop.

I bet they could possibly pick up the bumpers from Fastenal for you? Shoot them a message on Facebook, Brian is the owner, just tell him Steven sent you to him.

Yep, I'm outside of the city out in the woods.

I think they're shipping to the Fastenal location in Lindale since it's closer to where I live, but I'll find out in a few days. Thanks for the tip! If they go to Tyler I'll be sure to follow up on that. Either way I'll likely see them to get the bumpers coated and I'll tell them you referred me.

I've been out here for almost two years. I miss the food back in Fort Worth! There's some great stuff in Tyler, just wish there was more.

Damn, have them changed to Tyler then.

Go ahead and send them a message and he can get you a total price and everything.

If you need help with it let me know. I had my stock bumper off in like 15 minutes lol.

Tyler food is good on the low key spots. Lots of good places around to eat.

Well I'll be enjoying some when I go down to Longview in a few weeks. Also have to go try Bubbas 33 I've been hearing a lot of rave about it.
