What kind of battery pack? That actually sounds pretty easy to do. I have a luminoodle for my current camp light and it runs off a Anker battery pack. Hardwiring it in would be pretty nice, but would be weird running the wires down the side of the awning possibly.

Thanks! Yea, the lights are pretty nice! I am really impressed by them. I now want to replace my current Ditch Lights with some Squadron-Rs in like a Wide Cornering/Wide Driving combo or something.

Also need to get that 20" lightbar for the front bumper as well. What would be a good patter for it? Driving/Combo like the fogs?

Not the best picture... but this is what the Squadron-R Sports look like as fog lights.

    @Baja Designs
    Three Questions

I got to thinking, as far as fog lights go. I currently have the Driving/Combo lenses in the fog lights and they work well, but would like more light spread instead of the spot I think since I will be getting a 20" bar int the bumper and already have a bar up top with spot. Would switching to the Wide Cornering lenses in the fogs provide that better?

On the S8 bar, is it pretty simple to wire in the Amber Backlight to come on with the DRLs on the trucks instead of needing to run it to a switch?

Lastly, any chance of a Holiday Sale? Really trying to decide between a BD S8 or a Rigid SR bar.

Yes wide cornering Squadron-R Sports. They are bright with very even light projection. In my opinion far better than the stock fogs. I don't tend to drive around with my fogs turned on so I'm not sure if they are blinding at night to oncoming traffic however I did use them during thick fog without getting flashed by oncoming traffic so I assume they are pretty reasonable. Without a doubt they are some of the best quality products around, I have these fogs and an S8 lightbar, both are fantastic quality I highly recommend Baja Designs. Bailey is also extremely helpful and quick with answers.

Unfortunately I'm about 7000 miles away from my truck right now so I can't go look at the lightbar, but if I remember correctly each 10" section has 6 small amber LEDs between the center lightbar LEDs. Its hard to capture them clearly in the photos but they look good its a nice touch. I have the standard BD harness wired to two switches.

Switching from Driving/Combo to Wide Cornering will definitely provide more near field lighting and reduce the hot spots. Our lens kits can be found here:
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Replacement-Lenses.asp

For the S8, it is definitely not a difficult thing to do! A common installation is to splice into the DRL wires or use an Add-A-Fuse (or similar) and tap into the underhood or in car fuse box. I unfortunately don't have a truck here to give you 100% instructions on hooking that up.

We will definitely have something come up closer to Christmastime and the New Year. No word on the deals or details at this time.

    Thank You,
    Bailey, Baja Designs

Squadron sports with Driving/Combo lenses as Ditch lights.

Now I just need the 20" bar for the bumper and a majority of my lighting will be Baja Designs.

Responded to your message but will post here as well. In general we recommend the Spot pattern when used on Hood Mounts or Ditch Light Brackets. This will provide the most usable light and the least amount of hood glare. We do have some customers running Wide Cornering and aim them out towards the shoulders of the road. This is ideal for seeing wildlife and other obstructions on the sides of the road. It is BEST when used with other forward projecting lights.

I actually have the Driving/Combo on my ditch lights, though I may go for the wide cornering...

I already have enough spot from the Lightbar up top and the soon to be bar in the front bumper.

Need more on the outside and overall.
