dayum this thread is busy today!

    to recap:

Snow wheeling! was that even in this thread or another one? I got lost for a minute.

I'm 6'3" and Lisa is 5'3" - she was like a cupcake on the back of my bike before she got her GSXR

our pool is about 14k gallons play pool. It's good for floating and drinking in. One afternoon we started drinking in the pool, floating around, and didn't get out until the sun came up the next day.

penny stocks makin' peeps rich (or whatever)

Overland Expo moved locations - thank god. I met my wife at Mormon Lake so have a soft spot for it, but it was a fuckin shit show for Expo every year.

Nitrogen for shocks - like was already mentioned, you fill them at full extension for ease of tuning and because when they're fully extended, they're technically at a lower psi. when compressed they can get well over 500 psi (depending on your setup). We're installing onboard Nitrogen instead of a compressor or CO2. It will pressurize the onboard water system, fill tires, run air tools and fill shocks.

    IMG_9167.jpg

Tire mounting - I wish I had a balance machine at home... but I just go to Discount and suck it up like a little bitch.

There, I think I'm all caught up

    except

my brother @n0tRyan got that Tacoma we looked at!!!

He may or may not actually reply to this, but he'll for sure be lurking and joining us on some trails in the near future. :bananadance::dancingbacon::broccoli::jellydance::kona::taco::woot:

Anyone familiar with this 2014 Taco? It has a cap on the roof covering what looks like a CB antenna connection.

@KevinK that your nitrogen setup? Are those the same tanks more or less than co2?

It's green paint. The truck is Lisa's and she said she hated chrome but wanted something besides black or color match. I shot it with about eleventy coats of plasti dip. shhhhh. don't tell anyone we're ghetto.

    IMG_7649.jpg

They're similar, but of course I'm a dumb ass and have to make everything seven times more difficult than it needs to be. I ordered a custom aluminum tank from a beer brewing place because saving 10 lbs on a 7000 lb truck is important to me (I'm insane, I know it, it's ok). They said the bottle was 7" in diameter, so I ordered a bracket from Powertank that is supposed to hold a 6.5" tank. Well ours is actually 7.25" and didn't fit that bracket. So they exchanged me for one of their 20lb bottle brackets which are 8" and sent me a bunch of rubber strips to add for spacers. It works beautifully.

    except

I galled the nut onto the strap bolt after I finally finally finally found a spot to mount the fucker after putting the bottle in and out of the bracket like 20 times and building a cardboard model to try in different places in the truck, and all sorts of fuck all. So I cut the strap out and Powertank is sending me a new one. I really can't speak highly enough of their customer service. They've spent enough time on the phone with me that I probably owe someone over there sexual favors.

This pretty black bracket is too small:

Oh, @phx13, also the valve is different between CO2 and N2. The N2 bottle has a CGA-580 valve which takes a different kind of thread than a CO2 or SCUBA bottle. so you can't just take a CO2 bottle and get it filled with nitrogen.
