Oh ok that makes sense. I did lift it last winter, and apparently forgot to re-attach one of the brackets which is what Garry and Scott told me caused the abrasion on the outside of the cable.

Let me know if you can find a barb fitting that works for attaching the air chuck 1/4" FPT male fitting, Coilhose Pneumatics CH15A Open Lock-On Chuck, 1/4-Inch FPT
Most just cut from the Male end of Airline which is 1/4" FPT. Google failed me for one piece solution but bet you can find a barb (for tube end) that can attach to 1/4" FPT for a 2 piece solution.

Speaking of parking brakes, anyone have a newer 4 Runner? My mom has a 2015 and I noticed this summer that the parking brake was ridiculously weak. More than a couple times over our two week trip I'd get in and start to pull away, and think 'this isn't accelerating right' only to realize I'd left the brake fully engaged. But there was no excessive rev or difficulty at all in getting it to move, unlike my truck where I'm not sure it will move with the brake engaged. Are all the new 4 Runners like that, or does hers need adjusting?

Had a passender side headlight bulb burnt out...no biggie got a new set and figured I would do the drivers idea first because it's the easy side and when I went to disconnect the bulb so I could remove the dust cover and this happened

    20161206_130219.jpg

Looks like I am missing a headlight retainer clip from the back of the lens and it is not sold without the 250 dollar lens attached to it!!! And I think I need it for the passenger side also....

    :help:

The spot that broke and caused me to seek solace in malted beverage.
What you are seeing is the patch over the re-welded crack. It was a "V" cut that I had made in the beginning, and welded back together to get a bit of preload on the main arm.
To be honest, I had noticed the swingout had been sagging just a little the last few days, but attributed it to the larger tire and settling in. I never once thought to look.

Some might find this interesting (I never knew this), found looking through some near term economic guidance.

The portion of a car’s price that pays to meet federal safety and fuel efficiency mandates has gone from zero in 1967 to 22% now, or $5,500 on a $25,000 car, according to Sean McAlinden, an economist at the Center for Automotive Research, an industry-supported think tank.

You just need to adjust them. My 2010 was the same until I redid the shoes and adjusted them.

There were a few random flurries following around when i just headed down the mountain. By random i mean... It wasn't snowing. :(

My choice of gym shorts and shirt weren't a bad idea with my seat heaters. :bananadance:

Only issue is i forgot i disconnected the battery and just found out my truck beeps when locking/unlocking. That'll be fixed whether i get home in light flurries or blizzard since i hate that beeping. Only issue is my flip key for whatever reason won't work for that so i have to get my oem key fob.

I am disappointed with this snow storm.

Until your 31's leave you in a snowbank and walking home :broccoli:
