I've only had mine on for 2 months with no extra weight up front....with 650# springs I haven't seen anything. Waiting on the leafs to settle a little before I adjust anything.

Damn. I finally got them installed today. I had to take all the preload out. 1 thread on passenger and 3-4 on driver. I'm sitting at 3.5" of lift...I might have to find a way to add some weight up front so it will settle 1/4-1/2. I was hoping they would settle a little on their own. But other than that they're great. Nice and soft.

Damn sorry for the late response here. After about 2 years, I noticed they eventually settled about 1/2" (particularly on the drivers side, as I fixed Taco lean when it was installed originally but it has since returned) on my 2nd gen. I am actually going to crank mine up an inch or so this weekend I think. I have only 1 thread showing on the passenger side, so I know I can go up some.

No, just disconnect the lower shock mount, loosen the lock collar and spray the threads with WD-40. I disconnected the UCA as well, not sure if I needed to, but it made it easier.

I don't even disconnect the lower shock mount:notsure:. I pretty much jack the truck up and remove the wheel, then slightly loosen that top collar with whatever size allen key. Then spray WD40 and I use my cutoff screwdriver (a decent quality, screwdriver cutoff so that it's just the rod) and then crank away. If I need extra leverage (which often times is makes it easier), I'll slip a large boxed end wrench over the screwdriver right up next to the collar and use that. I could take a photo for demonstration if needed haha.

Has anyone had their coilovers rebuilt yet? My drivers side is leaking badly after less than 2 years and 20k of mostly highway miles with some rock crawling adventures. Wanting to know what my options are.

Hm that doesn't seem good. Any idea what's caused the leaking such as damage? I'm not sure as I haven't rebuilt mine yet, but I'm of course gonna take them to ADS when the time comes as they're local.

I have them off the truck now and cleaned up but don't see anything obvious.
