That's a really good point! I have a single 0 degree bag with a fleece blanket in there right now, and it closes just fine. I have been contemplating throwing in my Mammoth queen size 0 degree and seeing how it closes up then. But regardless, like Mike said below, if it's wet/muddy, it's maybe best kept in a bin. What size action packer are you using for yours, and how big is your tent/annex? Thanks!

I was planning on heading directly E out of Park City towards Vernal by taking 40/191 and then probably driving through Steamboat Springs and cutting S to 70 from there.

Yeah if you could through pass me some gps cords or a kmz if you have one that would be awesome. Thanks!

Lots of really cool places to see and camp near Dinosaur National Monument (I work there in the summers). Enjoy the drive! I might actually be driving the opposite direction from Denver to SLC in a couple weeks.

I would be happy to, but I took 70, not the northern route.

If you do end up taking that route and doing some camping, post up here afterwards. I'd love to hear how that area is, as I've never been to SLC that way.

Nice write-up, Jason. How did everything hold up on the first big outing?

I still need to get over to your place and meet you haha

    It was really good, man!

The truck isn't done by any stretch (is it ever?), but I want to use the damn thing, so I did! Granted that meant that I literally had some things duct taped onto the truck, but whatever! I got three amazing nights in late November and got to see my family to boot. It was perfect.

Now that I'm back, it's back to chipping away at some of the bigger issues and then hammering out the small ones. I really want to be as close to dialed in as possible for the spring. I wanna be ready once the passes open up and I have to be sure that I can hang with you crazy hooligans on your trail runs!

As for meeting up, just let me know, bro! I think we both work in Westy, so it'd be easy to grab a beer!

Haha! Exactly! And I'll probably still not get everything done! But whatever. As long as it's running, I'm gonna use the truck in whatever state it's in!

Very cool! My mom has been describing exactly that as her ideal camper for a couple years now. Where did you get yours? Or is it a DIY? I'll have to send her a link to your pics for jealousy inspiring reasons.

Nevermind^. I found the link to your build thread for the trailer. Bookmarked for further research

All the details and my thought processes (if you can call it that!) are in the build thread.

If you have any questions, just ask.

Since I got this trailer, Little Guy has grown quite a bit. I do not know if they still do semi-custom builds, like mine. I do know, some time after I bought mine, someone else asked for a "Scott B" edition and they knew exactly what he meant! :)
