I'm not sure if all 17 models have the power rear window. My dealer told me it's part of the Premium & Technology package, but I've also heard elsewhere that it's on all TRD models.

The power rear window is a TRD thing, not a P&T thing. Double check by finding the 2017 Tacoma brochure PDF and looking at the specific feature comparisons by trim level and package at the back.

Other change is the tailgate lock is keyed the same as the driver door and glovebox.

I'm unaware of any other model year differences.

No worries, I like my "crap".

 

That's why it's nice that it's optional. I specifically wanted the JBL P&T and had to order the truck to get it that way; to date am extremely happy with my choice. I've found that crap to be extremely useful.

 

Both incorrect. It's not a TRD thing, it's a double cab thing. It's available for all double cabs for TRD and Limited models. SR and SR5 didn't get it in either configuration. TRD didn't get it for access cabs.

 

Power sliding window and the key in the fob works on the tailgate. That's all.
