IMG_0696.jpg Looking to Lift/Level my New to me Tacoma! Options are 3 inch toytech with eibach 620lb coils, 5100's and add a leaf, Rancho Quick lift(coil/shock assembly), or 5100's on top clip settings! On a Budget....toytech kit running $750 with assembled struts and price drops on list! Anyone had any experience with the Rancho Quicklift and what was outcome? Truck is stock other than removed 245/75/16 road tires and installed 265/75/16 Falken All terrain tires! I would like to keep this project as budget friendly as possible currently! Thanks

Access cab with child seat in the back, yellow wire mod, diff breather relocated to tail light, engine block heater, Leer topper with Yakima tracks and rack, Yakima rack on cab, Ride Rite air bags with Daystar cradles, CBI hidden front hitch, wired for winch front and rear Warn quick connect, Warn x8000i on external carrier, sway bar delete, trailer plug relocated to under bumper, Pelfreybilt IFS and Mid skids, BAMF Tcase skid, ECGS front diff bushing, ARB CKMA12 compressor, 255/85/16 Backcountry MT 3 load E tires on stock steel rims, Toyo M55 tires (same size) on another set of stock steelies, Up2NoGood heated mirror kit, Husky X-act Contour front floor liners, Northstar AGM 24F battery under the hood, Northstar 27F in the cab, Redarc 25 amp DC to DC charger, Pelfreybilt bolt on sliders with kickout and top plates, TRD Pro headlights, Depo smoked tail lights, Energy suspension body mount bushing kit, OME Dakar leaf packs with AAL, OME rear shocks, OME 90021 front shocks with 885 coils, SPC LR UCAs, Up2NoGood 2wd low range mod, 4 Wheel Campers Grandby slide in camper, 4xinnovations high clearance rear bumper, Uniclutch 800 lb/ft clutch
No experience with the Rancho kit. I highly recommend 5100s with OME 887 coils and Dakar leaf packs with extended travel rear shocks - I have B110s, but I think 5125 is the standard extended travel shock.

I have 885 coils, but I have an Access Cab.

An affordable and dependable way to level the truck or raise the back, and stop the harsh ride (bottoming-out) from the weak factory springs when you have any load in the truck.

I did it on my 2005 DC and again on my 2010, last year:

Back Bilstein shocks were leaking and not working anymore.

Ride Rite by Firestone... for me, they are 'Baja Proven'!

    Hello 5100s!

This was performed on July 7, 2015... and along with the front Bilsteins (set at .85" lift), the truck suspension works well.

The 2010 OR Tacoma feels right at home, in the land where it was made, doing what it was made for, in Baja California!

If you just need lift to fit tires to look good on the street any of those options would 'work' i guess, but if you care about ride quality or plan on using your truck off-road... 5100's are GREAT (in the rear!) Like our previous First Lady Nancy Reagan said "Just say no!" To 5100's in the front, lol! I never had Rancho coil overs on this truck so Ican not comment on those. Here is some general advice... Dont use blocks in the back, dont use spacers in the front, dont use 5100's in the front, if you go with AAL use Deaver, if you go with packs use Dakar, always get over rated springs in front and over rated leaf packs or AAL in back, do use 5100's in the rear but make sure they are the proper length. For the front, choose springs that fit your needs(then add about 200lbs) and pick a proper strut. Everyone has a preference, on this truck i like Ironman.

(If you can afford the addition) Like stated above Ride Rite is an excellent ad-on, but i'd get the lift sorted out first then use Ride Rite to fine tune and create that perfect Cadillac ride! :)

Bottom line, if you hand pick your front struts, coils, and rear AAL, do all the wrench turning and installation yourself you can do a 3" lift right for $1,500. If you use new leaf lacks instead of AAL in the back add $200. If you never go off-road, just need room for tires, you can do a 3" lift for a few hundred bux with spacers in the front and blocks in the back.

    Hope that helps.
