so i just discovered lamin-x. I'd been considering going to an amber fog. Later down the road I will ultimately go with a 3x2 amber pod fog kit. For right now however lamin-x is the most cost effective way for me to achieve this. After some searching I haven't found specifically what I'm getting at. The question is do I go with yellow or amber film and also what bulb would be best paired with it i.e. Stock , yellow, or white

Mine are all yellow and not the LaminX orange garbage. I use stuff directly from Hella in Germany, forms better last longer. Let me find it for you and use white bulbs with it.

It's garaged totally for all but 2-3 days a week.even then it's only driven to town and back other than going hunting on the weekends. Curing will be easy peasy

I just installed a strip on my RC LED light today and am disappointed with the color of the light. It looks more green than yellow, especially when looking at the bar itself. Anyone else have "issues" or is it supposed to be greenish? The yellow bulbs I had on my last car were very yellow.

Yours look very yellow. Heres a shot of mine, the bars look similar but the light output is very washed out/green. Could it be the fact that the lamin-x was just installed and has not had time to cure?

If your light output is even slightly tinted blue, which most LED bars and pods are, you will have greenish light output from yellow laminx. For those, amber LaminX would be the ideal solution.

Ok thanks for the info. Do you think the yellow will still cut the light as intended? I purchased a whole roll of Lamin X and probably will not be able to return it.

Yeah it will cut it, but it will be greenish if the light has blue tint.

Can I apply these in the winter? Temps here are in the 40s and my truck is not garage kept. I'd like to do this, should I wait for Spring?

Yes, take the fog light assembly out, apply it in the house. Then put them back in in 3 days.
