I do a little bit of everything. But I do most of the electrical and drive ability that comes through the shop though.

Have you tried using S4 and S5 mode. The truck accelerates a lot better than it will in D mode. I have 5000 miles on mine and it is scheduled to be in the shop for maintenance this week. I will have the dealer confirm if I need the TSB, but yes this truck is a much different driving experience than other vehicles I have had. I have found that I get much better gas mileage in D mode than in S mode.

Tallpilot, bradwhitenikki and viking15, what you say makes a lot of sense to me, I appreciate the inputs from everyone on the matter.

On my end still have not heard back from the dealer on the TSB.

I tried to get the TSB done on mine and they said it didn't apply to 2017s. I haven't called corporate about it yet. My truck I thought the shifting was going to drive me crazy on because of an experience somewhat like yours. It also did a ton of downshifting when you wouldn't expect it. I'm over 1800 miles now and I tell you I've either gotten adjusted to the truck (not bloody likely) or the shifting behavior has become more predictable and to my liking (this is the reality). I never use the ECT button-I'm too cheap and am really trying to produce as little CO2 as I can. I really think that once you determine whether the TSB applies to your vehicle and have that done if necessary, you should give it a little time and see if it settles down on you. I think it will. Good luck!

Have an appointment set up for the first week of December. The service guy had no clue of the TSB, I am asking to check transm. fluid level as well. My buddy has had his 2016 undergo the recalibration and he is really happy with the results.
We will see what I get, my guess is they will send me back with some wasted time in pockets... I will keep you posted.

Have had my TSB done yesterday.
This is now based on a very short time experience.
    1. At speeds<45mph, It seems like it does not coast anymore when letting go of the throttle. It starts downshifting, and will slow down the truck almost to a stop
    2. It feels like 'ECT on', lower gears stay engaged, more responsive.
    3. Gas mileage dropped

I was asking the service rep about his experience with the TSB. THey have had many done, but just a handful of folks were not happy with it.
He did not have anything to say about gas mileage.

Prior to TSB: My MPG went from ~23 on the first three tanks, (24+ on 1st) to 22 on the 4th. Driving has been a mix of highway and city driving, although the 4th tank has just been city driving.
Post TSB: on segments I would normally get 22-24.5, I am barely above 18.
To me MPGs matter, at the moment I wonder whether it was the right thing to do, but it is still early, we will see if it improves.
    Hope this helps others.
