@kwhite1109 - Thank you for the pictures! I was able to get the turn signals connected, but I still can't figure out which wire connects to the L-bar daytime running lights for the white lights on the ARB! I just can't see where the power supply plugs in for those lights. I see your second picture, but can't tell which wire it's connected to. Either way, thank you for your time and explanation!

@baileybrandon - The install sucks. It took a professional mechanic (buddy) and me (fairly mechanically inclined) 8 hours to do the install of the bumper, KCs, and strut/shock replacement. Still haven't wired up the DRLs, but hoping to get that figured out in the next couple weeks.

I figured my pictures would not be that helpful for that specific wire. Tonight I will pull that bulb and show you the exact wire.

@baileybrandon I agree with @Blindside. The install does take some time. I did it myself (besides lifting onto the vehicle with the winch installed). It would have been easier if I didn't make a few mistakes along the way that took some time to correct.

I really appreciate you willing to do that, man.

And just to be clear, we're referring to the L-shaped LEDs as seen in this picture below, right?

No, the lights you tap into are the ones with the yellow reflectors on the outside edge of the headlights. Only one bulb/wire loom goes into that area. You tap into the wire that is not the ground. I forget which color the wire is but it's the one that is not white with a black stripe (ground).

Ohhh. See, I'm trying to tap into the DRL lights so they come on at the same time as the L-bars in my headlights.

I see. Well that is not what I did but I would guess the concept is still the same. Should be a hot and a ground going to the light. Just tap the hot.

Either way, if you want to be sure reach out to ARB. Erik in the tech department has great knowledge and is really helpful.

DRL - ECU controls the ground side of the DRL relay (pin 2)
    DRL Circuit - 10A (factory)

Thank you for the post, but I'm having a little trouble reading the diagram.

I understand that I just need to tap it into the hot wire, I'm just not sure where that wire is on the headlight. I have a multimeter that I can use to test, but I don't see any wires that look like they "plug-in" to the base of the L-bars anywhere.

    Thanks guys.

Thanks to @fergyz post, I think I've finally figured it out.

Here is a picture of a 2016 non-LED bar headlight:

Here is a picture of a 2016 LED bar DRL headlight:

Notice the additional 3 wires coming out of the light through the rubber grommet in the middle? And the 4-pin plug directly to the right of the silver screw/washer? That is the DRL plug/relay that was posted before.

    Seen here:

Then I found this wiring schematic in an instruction manual for an aftermarket kit for a 2016 Tacoma that does not have factory DRLs. The schematic shows that pin 2 (which is the same thing @fergyz said) provides +12 VDC when ignition is on, with DRL switched on.

    PDF here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0176/5842/files/00016-35054_toyota_mcdonough.pdf
(page 12, see Connector C-4 description)

So basically, you have 3 wires going to that plug. Red, yellow, and black.

Judging from the the wiring diagram provided and this other picture found here:

It appears that the red wire is the Pin 2 wire. I will test with my multimeter to confirm before tapping the wires. I'll post my results once complete.

    Thanks again guys!

1 = Green or Gray / DRL positive - powered by relay (ECU/BCM controlled)
2 = Light blue / powered by parking light circuit (Tail)
3 = White with black stripe / Ground

@Blindside Since I do not own a 3rd Gen, does the DRL lights dim when turning on the headlights?

@fergyz - Yes, they do dim when headlights are on. They do not dim when the switch is on the running/parking lights position.

So i have SR. I bought the trd headlights that have the led strip in them. Just kinda reading through this read and maybe im just not reading it right or anything but how could i have the led strip as my DRL and have just the turn signal the turn signal like on a stock trd? or would that be even possible? seems like a good thread to ask this here.
