Thanks for the gift @Nylaia !!! Sorry I couldn't post up about it until now! been working late nights and early mornings! Some of the stalking you did is borderline scary! I know I'm difficult because I don't have any social media other than TW! so you did a great job! looks like i need to further remove myself from the internet...... :spy:

It's so funny that you sent the "Speak Out" game, because we had seen a hilarious video of some people on youtube playing it or something similar recently, and really wanted to try it! The shirts are awesome! (there's only one in the pic because my wife is wearing hers!) Speaking of Jenna, she was so shocked that you thought of her and got her something! so that was really really special, thank you for that!

Sneaky Cards looks very interesting and is bound to get me far out of my comfort zone! and we are eager to expand our adventuring borders to include Washington, so the road trip book will come in super handy! (and we would love to meet up with you guys and all go camping togetherof course!)

The mountain bike book is a little out dated as it's from 1989, and more Cross country (flat and pedally) than what I do (big jumps and drops etc) but my wife and I got some great laughs out of some of the pictures inside!!! I'm going to look through though and see if there are any new zones in there that I don't already know about, and maybe my wife and I will do a leisurely ride on a couple of them!

Lucy our resident house bunny loved her gift as well!

Thank you so much! Stoked on everything!!! Merry (TW) Christmas! And we honestly would love to get out camping with you guys some time! If you're ever up here, please get in touch!

I'm glad you like the gifts! I was originally hoping to have hand-delivered them the weekend prior, but Adam (my husband) got called into work and Jenna said you were out of town anyway, so it all worked out. I know, the Mountain Biking book is a bit outdated. I tried to find an updated one for our state but the only one I found was from 2006 and was falling apart (no longer in print anymore either:(). We picked it for the commentary and pics. Looked fun and is still (mostly) relevant to our area. We would love to do a run/trip with you & Jenna sometime! Maybe when the weather warms up we can plan a weekend mid-way between us? Mt. Baker area? Or even to Whistler? Adam has been wanting to take me there for years since I've never been. He's a snowboarder/skier and it's his fav place. I just chill in the lodge with my crock-pot of homemade chili stew & cocoa while watching the people tumble down the hillsides.... Health reasons prevent me from partaking in the more physical activities.
We were just in Victoria over the weekend for our anniversary. Such beautiful weather compared to what my friends & family were experiencing. Too bad for them! JK! Anyway, I hope you get to bust out those games this festive holiday season and I'm glad Jenna likes her shirt so much! I'm happy that Lucy got a toy too! I did not know you had a house bunny (my stalking only got me so far. ;))!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!

P.S: Post vids of you guys playing the game? Lol! Looks so fun!

    1. Magnesium fire starter w/compass
    2. Datrex emergency food rations
    3. Coleman axe
Nick really hit a home run.

My MRE's are past their expiration date (see 1998)

I don't have an axe in the truck. I have a saw but was just thinking the other day that I needed to get one.

Fire starter, well you can never have enough of these. :bananadead:

Dude, it's not about going all out and spending crazy money. It's about this thread and all the folks willing to play along. You gave what you can and you give it to a stranger. If you had an awesome year and spare money that you really want to blow some member's mind, then go for it. If you can't go much over the minimum because you are a starving student spending too much on booze and weed, it's cool, we have been there... done that!

We all joke and post expensive wish-lists, but we all just want to play along and anything we get it is truly a blessing on our house and trucks (except you jeep owners, no blessings for you).

That's an excellent point! I guess my goal was to get a gift that was functional and desirable to use, one that makes you wanna get outside and explore. Because after all, that's a unifying factor among many of us. And I hope my gift achieves that...and brings with it the thought of not me, but of the community of TW!

Easy to get bogged down in money sometimes. Oh and also, my money is spent solely on beer and coffee but never weed (yet, at least)! I think I ate a cashew a few days ago...?

I think that happens, especially as people start posting what they get and you subconsciously get the one up, big-n-better mentality. At it's most basic I think everyone appreciates a gift (except for Belladonna's fist a few years ago:rofl:) but if you do even a little digging and can hone in on what someone is into based on an internet persona, that alone brings it to another level.

To my giftee-Got the final piece of your collection today and will hopefully have it on it's way tomorrow.
