    Hey Dudesss!

I bought a 42" curved LED light bar. I was thinking about mounting it on my headache rack. I was wondering if anyone had any comments, suggestions, or ideas for me.

Here is a picture of the truck (still has old tires on in this pic).

    Thanks!!!

heard that some people made special brackets to put them right above the windshield. but didn't like the fact that the shining light glared on the windshield and made it difficult to see since it was "fogged".

having them on your headache rack will probably keep this from happening but prevent light from shining on the ground further in front of you. you may either 1 want to put a light bar on your front bumper, or move the lights higher so that they can shine down in front of you without hitting your windshield.

I think it'll be fine especially with a single cab. Or you could fab a couple brackets just like the windshield ones so it extends it forward and up just a tad. But I think it'd be fine without that. Maybe get a 4d/osram bar to compliment it's position? And then some smaller pods/ hood pods/ bumper bar all in flood.

hey toendanger, on your sig pic. is the light bar also shining on your hood? if it is, it seems like that would be another obstacle along with the light shining on the windshield. am I wrong?

Ummm, Idk. Doesn't bother me. I think it isn't as bad on black vehicles as it is other lighter colored ones. But I also have deeper reflectors, the 10watt single row(vision x evo prime clone) and that may be a factor as well (not as much light being shined on hood as ones with smaller double row reflectors. Idk. Think it a mostly just spill light on hood maybe). All I know is that it doesn't bother me that much. I just make sure to keep my windshield really clean. Which I already made a habit of anyways.

Edit: and in the pic, I think the camera is just making it appear to be more lit up than it really is on the hood.

When you ordered them. Did they come as a set? My receipt says that I just bought 1 mount. That's like selling one shoe.

I think I'm going to get these. The curved 42" bar doesn't look that great on the rack.

It comes with two. :) the mounts bolt direct through the cab. I don't want to do that at all so I'm going to get different mounts.

Lol I did the eBay special! :)

    Fucking look it up
I used to have a 42 inch on my explorer I mounted it straight to the back of the hood so still had room to open and close the hood. Depends on it you want to drill holes in your truck I guess but it was unique and helped alot with no glare anywhere
