Can you guys recommend aftermarket speakers that fit in the stock doors and rear of a 1999 4x4 SR5? I want good clear sound, but not the hassle of having to install separates, I'm looking for a direct drop-in replacement for the OEM speakers.

What?? Where did you manage to fit those? I had to go for an under-seat 150w powered sub since there's not really a spot in the xtracab to install them without sacrificing space.

Crutchfield is generally overpriced according to my audiophile friends.

But certainly a good place to research, then shop for the actual bits from other sources.

I have 1 sub in my 2001 extended cab currently and I thought about putting another on the other side but a friend told me it might not sound as good as only one sub. Currently it takes mine to be turned all the way up for the bass/sound to be at where I want it. What would you recommend? I like loud and a lot of bass:D

Are you running the stock head unit? Do you plan to power the speakers with an amp?

Yea, I just put one directly behind my drivers seat. I put the amp in that back little half-seat. Now I currently have no room to put anything unless I throw it to the other side in the back but that was just my decision. It depends on what you prefer more and if you're willing to give up room in your truck for some good bass:benchpress:. I'm just a highschool student and don't care much about room though:thumbsup:

I have a 12 inch Pioneer. Do you mind showing pics of where you placed both of your subs?

I'll post some pics tomorrow but mine are connected and I have them sitting behind the seats and it faces upwards because it's too big to face forwards. (I have just enough room to fit a bookbag in the back now haha) I have my amp under my passenger seat.

However, the 2 12s are my brothers and hes letting me use them because he needed more room in his 2002 ext cab. I an gonna eventually go back to my own 1 12 when I need the room for baseball or something.
