2016 remote locking tailgate and electric window?

Long story short, I bought my Tacoma TRD Off Road for $34,900 with 1200 miles on it from a Dodge Dealership that needed to get rid of it. My ONLY regret is that the 17 came out and added some things. The new electric sliding window AND the remote locking tailgate. Normally this wouldn't be a huge issue but I use a bed cover and keep it locked for work stuff. I'm calculating that I saved about $2,500 by getting the truck I got instead of the 17 but is there any way to add those features or at least the remote locking gate to my truck? Otherwise, would it be worth selling mine for the 17? I've heard rumors maybe I could break even and get what I want...

 

Locking tailgate is about $100 - I think it's called pop-lock.

Rear sliding window is not all it's cracked up to be. Just crack your rear drivers/pass window to give you a similar effect. Not worth spending $1000 to retrofit it IMO

 

Mine locks now but I want it to lock from the key fob. What is pop-lock?

power locking tailgate is not a toyota option, nor a feature on the trucks..

 

I ordered my truck through the owner of the dealership (my friend) over the phone and he didn't ask if I wanted the tailgate lock. At the time I was no aware of the option. I ordered the Pop & Lock and it works great!
Easy 20 min install. Only thing I don't like is its little noisy. Its a loud clunk when locked or unlocked. But I love that it locks every time. Well worth the $100.

Just bought my pop&lock from JC Whitney with a 20% coupon.... 76.00 I think they just put out another 20%er.

YOU will have to put in the vehicle type for a Tundra to get it to allow you to order it. At least you needed to last week.

 

Careful on that generalization, tailgate power lock is an orderable option in SouthEast Toyota territory. See here and scroll down.

It's possible it's not an OEM Toyota item, but I ordered my 2017 with it and it was listed on my Monroney sticker.
