fuel pressure regulator vent tube????

    Went to install this Volant CAI , they sent me the wrong tube. MAF is there, but there's no cut out for the 1/8" fuel pressure regulator tube to insert into where it did the OEM resonator. My question is , does that tube use vacuum or is it just a vent/breather tube?

    The truck is in the shop parking lot now as I dont want to throw a code or run lean. Would it be cool just to throw a breather on it or does this tube affect fuel air mixtures ?!
