Sorry if this has been posted before. I searched and didn't find anything.

The Sport has 17" stock rims. I bought a nearly mint set of 16" rims from a 2015 SR5 for snow tires. I put them on and there is maybe a 1/4" clearance between the caliper and rim. Nothing rubbing though.

Is this enough room? I checked a new Tacoma at the dealer with 16" rims and the newer model seems to have a a bit more room.

I think all the Toyota 6 lug wheels are interchangeable.... cant say for the 5 lugs.

I can assure you that is the exact same clearance those wheels had on the 2015. Nothing changed.

    You're fine.

Is this a sticky yet? I foresee this being a common question/search topic. In my area I've seen at least 10 sets of 2nd gen Tacoma 6 lugs for sale/trade in the last month on various sites.

Glad I searched for this too. Just to triple confirm for anyone else, I phoned Toyota and they confirmed these rims will fit.

Furthermore, the 3rd Gen off-road comes with 16" rims while my Sport has 17" Rims. There is no discernible height difference between the two trim levels, just different suspension gear.
