Savagetacoma91's "Black Trucks Matter" build

Hello there guys, well I'm finally starting a build thread.

It's a 1996 Tacoma, 3.4 V6, 5speed manual transmission, it's pretty much stock besides having coil spring spacers. The previous owner had gotten a cheap 500$ maaco paint job, threw some Worx rims on it and sold it. I'm guessing a car flipper because the title had only been in his name for 2 weeks.. Anyways, the first picture is how it looks now. The second picture is when I got it back in July.

What Iv done since Iv owned it:
Took off the center caps and plastidipped the rims.
Spray Bedliner my front bumper
Painted my grille black
4" deck plate mod
Got a used trailgear rear tube bumper on Craigslist for 150$, in pretty decent shape too!
TRD shift knob
K&N lifetime warranty air filter

My next plans for it:
New rims and tires (already ordered, it's a surprise)
KING extended travel coilovers
Total chaos UCAs
Deavers?

 

A couple more of how it looks now.

 

My old headlights were pretty dim and it seemed that in order to see at night I had to have my brights on the entire time, I havent found any reviews on Marlin Crawlers High Performance Headlights, so I went ahead and ordered a pair with VisionXs super white bulbs. Installation was pretty simple, just take the old ones out, and put the new ones in. All I needed was a Philips screwdriver. The top picture is after and the bottom is before.

And I have to do it...White trucks matter too!!!!!! Love the name. I did the bedliner on both my trucks bumpers to get rid of all that chrome as well. Looking forward to seeing another 96 build in the making.

 

My Husky floor liners came today. Kind of expensive but a very nice fit!
