    PICS ADDED!

    Hello Folks,

My wife has gotten used to driving my lifted truck & that is what brings me here. After she test drove 3 different SUV's she chose this 4Runner last Sunday & to my pleasant surprise it is a 2016 4Runner Trail Edition in white. biggrin_5fae7dc8a5619f02dca79628caa12bf2d1399673.gif

She also chose the Duratracs which worked out good for me (I am a Service Manager at Goodyear) since I get a special employee incentive towards a new set of Goodyears. I decided to stay with the 265s & I will add a lift up front. This Trail has a 2" rake. I'll look into a 1.25 or 1.50 inch lift. She said she was so used to driving my truck that she felt too low in the other 2 SUVs.

The ONLY complaint we have about this truck is the lack of a grab handle on the drivers side A-pillar. She's only 5' tall yet she wants me to level the front end so I DEFINITELY have to add steps to the truck and she wants the 4" oval tubes that give good door ding protection.

I will also do the 3 breather mods on this truck & I will familiarize myself with the 4WD & all the traction options and I believe that I have to engage the 4WD at certain mileage intervals? This is my 1st 4WD vehicle.

    Well here are some pics:

I agree. The tires do make a huge difference. And it was HER choice! Of course, I was more than happy to accomodate.

Oh, have your wife drive your truck more often HAHAHAHA! Seriously, it worked.

But if I see you at a meet I'll give my wife the heads-up HAHAHAHAHA!

@TAC1 NICE buddy, I had to copy you.. LOL..!!

Although, my plan back fired, my wife doesn't like the 4Runner  :( I have made peace with it, and as you know the Tacoma must go.
I will be keeping the 4Runner Trail and building it. I will say this, I love my Tacoma but WOW..!!! the Trail is light years ahead.. the build quality, the fully boxed frame, disc on all 4's the true transfer-case.. the list goes on... I like the mild lift and tires on yours, looks awesome. When are we taking these off road..!!!!!

@mouse007. How does Lazy Springs on Saturday December 17 or Sunday December 18 sound? I'm not gonna get her 4Runner muddy but I definitely want to exercise the 4WD system which I have NOT used yet

I'll take my Tacoma as well.
