I know when it gets cold all or most cars upon starting, warming and at stop lights will have steam coming from their tailpipe. I've had my 2012 now for a year and couple months and have been paying close attention all last winter and this winter.
My truck steams (not smoke) more than ANY other car on the road Ive seen including many Taco's Ive seen and pulled up behind at lights etc. My truck has been running at highway speeds for well over thirty minutes too so I know it not still warming up. Of course at highway speeds I cant see it since Im moving so fast but as soon as I come to a stop, there it is. Where other cars including Taco's seem to take a min or so before steam appears and its not nearly as much as mine.

A guy at work suggested poking the weep holes in the muffler to see if there was crap inside blocking water from seeping out, thus creating excessive steam. I'll certainly give that a try this weekend but wondered if anyone else noticed this and or had any other ideas.

Running good, no codes? Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. All vehicles with cat converters make water vapor.

The Tacoma has a long exhaust system. Longer systems tend to do this.

BTW...after my 25 mile commute to work I sometimes still have vapor.

    Normal.....relax

Yea, everything is tip top... Truck runs great. I'm not alarmed or anything, just something I noticed and was curious about.
