Hey everyone! New from Spokane, Washington. I just bought my first truck roughly two months ago. 03 Tacoma TRD with the 3.4 and the best part... it's a 5 speed!! :D

Also, I'm a junior in high school so the mods for this truck will be cheap for the most part, but I'm hoping for at least new wheels and tires (ordering soon) and either a leveling kit (probably Bilstein 5100's) or a small lift...

Anyways, here are some (crappy) pics:

I forgot to mention, I bought the truck with only 67k miles and one-owner!

Thanks! Interior and bed are near-perfect.

Here's the bed, plus the cargo divider I threw together in about 30 mins (to keep the sandbags over the rear wheels) Everything you see in the bed is bark/dirt, not scratches.

Wow great buy looks really good! I got mine as a junior too. From what I've heard I think step sides are pretty rare too. Do you plan to wheel it much?
    Welcome to TW btw

@Lux Thanks! Yep, the step sides are pretty hard to come by. The look of them has grown on me. And for now, I'm mostly sticking to nothing more than exploring dirt roads and doubletrack, but in the future (when I have more money and time ) I'll definitely want to move on to some actual wheeling.

    @ODNAREM Thanks!

@Lux I actually just bought some General Grabber At2's in 31's. How has your experience been with them? I'm waiting on wheels until Black Friday, and then I'll probably order them... looking at the Pro Comp 7069's in a 15" wheel.

sounds good, I love my tires, fair warning though they WILL throw rocks up so keep your mudflaps on, I took all of mine off and everytime I get off a gravel road or something onto a highway all I can hear are rocks being thrown at my body.
Are your tires on 15s now (edit: just saw they are :p)? If so thats alright, I like the look of 15s definitely. but in the future if you plan to scale up to 33" tires or bigger Id look into 16s, this gives you the opportunity to do the tundra brake upgrade in the future, which is essentially bolting on tundra calipers and rotors for much better braking power (bigger tires are noticeably harder to stop) Im still on my stock brakes but plan to do this. Just an idea though if you intend on getting bigger tires. I do really like the looks of 15s especially on 31s or smaller, makes the tires look a lot more beefy  make sure you post up some pics when you get em on there too

    Thanks everyone!

@Lux Sounds good, I've heard that they shoot rocks like crazy! Mudflaps will definitely be staying on... and yep, well I have 16's on there now (winter wheels/tires) and then the summers will be 15's. Good point though about the Tundra brake swap, I never thought about the fact that you'd need more wheel clearance for that! For now, I'm planning to stick with 31's but in the future if I choose to go to a 33 it'll be a ways down the line and I'll probably get some 16" wheels then.

I'll definitely post up some pics, the new wheels and tires won't go on until the spring but I'll let you guys know and post up some pics within a few weeks when I get the wheels ordered and then get the tires mounted.

@myamada1230 Thanks! Also, I'm glad to see that at least a few people are still buying manuals in new trucks today!

    Hey Jack,
Nice truck, and welcome to Tacoma World. You, actually, have a very rare truck. Toyota did not make many stepside 4x4 Tacomas with the 3.4.
    Good Luck,
    Paul
