Not sure yet. Need to talk to my dad. He is going down next week to ready my grandpas house to sell. Gotta bring the ZL1 camaro back too to sell. Either he gets to drive it or i will later. Depends on if he drives down with me to moab this coming weekend.

If i get to bring the camaro back. Then id either fly or drive. But id only drive if you are gonna make me some bumpers haha So i probably will fly down.

 

Seems like anyone who adds boost the clutch goes at the same time....lol. Late to your sc party....

It up here. In storage now, right next to my old supra actually. They are gonna sell it. Need too. But I guess they will be lucky to get 38k for it, paid 78k new. Apparently they sold a lot of them which I was suprised to learn about the zl1 soft top.

Waiting till spring and summer to sell it. No point now due to the soft top

 

You don't buy a ZL1 package with a rag top because you're worried about resale value.

Cost a lot that's for sure. I wanna drive it and floor once to feel the power.

 

Now there is a car you have to be prepared to own... very cool but they demand that you be on top of everything maintenance wise otherwise they quickly become non functioning.



On the bright side you'd learn to replace a clutch and tear down a rotary really fast.

 

Yea screw rotarys.

 

I like the simplicity of the engine itself. But once you re-plumb all the vacuum lines in an RX7 you'll never do it again. I regretted even helping with that job.

For those that care, I went on a 2week trip to Utah in Oct. I didn't take Frank due to the front diff being exploded. Instead i took Igor my double cab after quickly doing some slight mods. If you don't know about Igor, check out his build here:

Not a build thread update, but this is a trip report of my two week trip across Washington and into British Columbia. It was from last fall but still going to be a good read.

Well i got a new job. starts in Jan so with promise of some income, i bought a new ECU for Frank. Its from a 97 4runner and i hope it works.

Turns out there are two ECUs for 97 tacomas and finding the one that works is next to impossible. on top of that, Franks original one was a "97" ecu. The first version anyways that was in the truck till May of 97. Then they switched. The ECU i grabbed from Bretts parts rig was actually a 96 ECU. So that is why i saw no improvement.

Either way, i got the right damn part number and started watching Ebay, finally one popped up. 170 bucks later and its being shipped to me. The PN is 89661-3D310 for a 97 V6 Manual 4x4.

Hope it works.

Batteries are frozen solid again so going to pull them in the morning to let them thaw out.

 

I think you could benefit from one of the smart chargers. They are specifically designed to help AGM type batteries remain healthy. This is the one I am using:
