So while working on a side mirror project I get all finished up and put my drivers door panel back on, go to put my window down and nothing. All other windows work from the master switch but not the drivers. I checked and the motor is getting power from the switch. I'm at a loss. Any help is appreciated.

You try taking the plug off and reattaching it again?

That's one of the first things I did after testing power.

    Try this.

Turn on the ignition or turn it to on.

Hold the switch in the down position for amount of time it should take to roll it down + 5 seconds.

Hold it in the up position for the same.

    See if it resets.

If not then try just holding it in the up position for maybe 20 seconds and try it again.

That didn't work. I also disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and still no luck.

Also there's no motor noise trying to put window up or down.

Motor may have gone out. We had to have all 4 replaced on the 4runner and it wasn't very old when it happened.

Hopefully it's not the motor. Here's some electrical info that may help.

Ok so I tested against my rear drivers side window. I put the positive probe on the motor down wire and put the negative to a ground. While pressing down it read about .23v. While pressing up and testing that same way it read 11.50v. Then I put the positive probe in the up motor wire. While pressing up it reads about .30v and down it reads about 11.60v

At the drivers window down wire while pressing down I'm getting 11.50v and pressing up I get nothing. Then I put the positive probe in the up wire. I pressed up and got nothing. I pressed down and got 11.50v. Sounds like a ground issue somewhere maybe.

You tried wiggling the harness while trying the switch?

Nothing with that. Do you know where the window motor grounds to? I think I might have a bad ground. When I unplug the motor and test the wires with a multimeter I get no power. When I do the same at a different window I get 12v or -12v depending on which probe is where and if I'm pressing up or down.

I figured it out. I installed a once touch up window module the other day and one of the pins came loose. Thank you for your help @medic2230 and RTR! I'm originally from Dothan. 20161211_001300.jpg
