Help! Any "Do it all" locking tonneau + rack solutions?

I've only had my '15 DCSB for about 3 weeks and spend more time on TW than talking to my family since. I've been scouring all threads related to racks and covers, but I haven't seem to identify a solution for the following needs. My truck came with the Undercover SE, but here is what I'm really looking for. I SCUBA dive, mountain bike, fly fish, camp, ski, trips with family, etc. It seems like I might be asking for too much.

I've thought about just mouthing the Thule rails and crossbars directly to the Undercover SE, but then access to bed would have to be through a home built sliding platform.

Want a locking cover solution for stuff in the bed and to keep things dry
Want a low profile rack for an RTT. But would like to still access stuff in the bed with reasonable ease.
I would really like the rack to also mount my mountain bikes.

Am I asking for too much. If not, what have I missed? I've seen the Voodoo rack but it seems like the cover solutions don't meet my criteria. Any help and/or direction would be most appreciated.

 

I'm in a similar situation. Just got married, used the Tacoma as the wedding vehicle all day (yay!) but it rained steady all day and it would've been nice to be able to keep some stuff in the bed, out of the cab, dry and locked. So I thought I'd cave on my "I'll never cover the bed of my pickup truck" mentality, but now that the wedding is over, I'm looking at a bed rack and RTT. Tonneau covers and bed racks, from what I've seen, don't mix.

I recall a vendor (maybe here) selling a bed rack that worked with tonneau covers. The only problem I see with that is hard tonneau covers may not work since the sections need room to fold back. I'm not really interested in soft tonneau covers, either.

I think I've decided on the following:

• Open bed during the spring/summer/fall months -- or bed rack and RTT
• Hard tonneau in the winter, occasionally swapping it off for bed rack and RTT if an adventure presents itself

I'm trying to avoid buying a hard tonneau that I'll never want to put on the bed after getting a bed rack and RTT because I know it'll come back off. Plus, camping in the winter will be much more comfortable off the ground.

 

I wanted to be able to carry my bikes and have stuff secured and covered in the bed. I didn't want anything to be to high. I really like BakFlip covers, and wanted to get one, but they didn't have a low height version of this;

I did think about making my own brackets to mount bike racks to, but was short on time. Might be what you are looking for though.

 

I would recommend this as well^^^. I have the ARE fiberglass tonneau cover that is great if you prefer to always have your bed covered as it can lock. I recently picked up a softtopper so I might try swapping out the tonneau to see how that works out as it gets warmer.

I have a mobtown offroad bed rack mounted with a Pace Edward's retractable bed cover. I only keep my Thule ski box on it as far as weight goes but it is much stronger. I am a big guy, high 200#'s and when I sit on a bar there is no deflection. Mobtown says it is strong enough to hold a rtt, and I believe it based off how strong the bed and towers are.

 

Thanks everyone. I looked at the BAK system and without seeing it in person those uprights just seem flimsy for side to side loads. After for Google-Fu I came across this:
